Having just come back from retreat at The Barn in Sharpham, I was amazed to see how the roses in the garden had suddenly burst into bloom in just a few days.
A few days later when I ventured back onto social media, Bridgit had put a post about Rose: The flower of love yet it is self-love this plant brings to a person. It is used internally for anxiety, nerves, hormone regulation. grief and lack of self-love. So I decided to put my perfumed petals to use:
I picked petals from Tess d’urbervilles and Gertrude Jekyll (pink), the climbing roses that I planted a few years ago. They smell like you imaging roses to smell!
Recipe:
- A jar stuffed pull of fresh, scented rose petals
- Fill half the jar with Honey or Maple Syrup
- Fill the remaining jar with Brandy.
