I bought these 3 plants last year and I wasn't sure the kiwi was going to survive as it really didn't look well last year, but they all seem happy this year.
It will probably be a few years until we get any figs, but you have to start sometime. I remember many years ago, David and Ollie bought me a fig plant for mothers day, I grew it in the ground and it was huge! So I think I will keep this one in a pot for now.
In the last house we had a huge kiwi plant that produced little kiwi fruits and I am hoping that this little plant will one day be as big. I have bought a fertile cultivar otherwise I would have needed two plants, one male and one female to ensure fruit.
Like the fig, they like a sunny position so south, south-west facing wall. I don't have a wall so I am going to espalier it in the allotment area.
It will hopefully start producing fruit next year, and fruit is produced on one year old wood.
This little goji berry plant can grow unto 3m heigh with a spread of 4m, so I am going to grow it in a pot!
Goji berries are supposed to be a super-food which can be used to boost your immune system, I haven't yet had any fruit, but it does say they can take unto 3 years to fruit. The shrub flowers are white and purple trumpet shaped and it flowers around June/July time.
